Do you feel immense guilt, shame, and confusion around your experiences as a child of immigrant or refugee parents and would love to figure out how to honor your cultural traditions and incorporate them into your own healing?
Do you find it difficult to integrate your religious or spiritual beliefs with your mental illness or various states of consciousness without feeling ashamed?
Have you experienced harm or abuse with psychiatric treatment and would like alternatives to mental illness support that holds a non-medicalizing, liberation stance and honors your dignity?
My free initial 15 min phone consultation allows you to share what brings you to therapy and what kind of support you are seeking. I will share my practice approach to help you determine whether I am a good fit for you.
You will complete intake paperwork before we meet for our first session in person or online. For in person sessions, my office is located in Berkeley, Ca walking distance from BART and UC Berkeley.
The first few sessions are exploratory as we get to know each other and develop a safe therapeutic relationship. I honor the time and vulnerability it takes to build a trusting connection and prefer meeting with you on a consistent weekly basis to nurture this time together.
